Do you feel like you may be flying blind when it comes to navigating the health of your culture? Well, today's guest admits he was. Yet he wanted to create a culture his staff could thrive in. Listen in as he describes the key steps that he took to move his workplace culture to one of the healthiest that we've worked with.

Thanks for listening in! I'd like you to listen closely: I'm going to give you the two-syllable abbreviation of one of the healthiest, flourishing organizations BCWI has ever worked with. Are you ready? The two syllables are . . .

StuMo. . . . StuMo, short for Student Mobilization.

To tell the story of their stunning, flourishing culture is my guest, Dave Riner, CEO, and President of Student MobilizationHi Dave, and welcome to the Flourishing Culture Podcast.

You'll find today's guest has a fascinating story of how he inherited a very unhealthy culture at a Christian college and turned it into a flourishing one. Listen in to how he did it.

We all know that tremendous employee engagement equates to a tremendously flourishing workplace culture. A lot of leaders would be glad if 60% of their people felt engaged in their work. My guest today leads an organization where 79% of the employees—nearly 80%--feel engaged. How do they do it? What’s been their secret? We’re about to find out.

I want to welcome my return guest, Mark Maxwell, President of Prairie College in Three Hills, Alberta Canada. Mark, welcome back to the Flourishing Culture Podcast.

Would you like to be led more by Jesus, live and lead more like Jesus, and lead more to Jesus? Today's podcast is just for you.

Sometimes in life, we can lose our wonder.  It can happen gradually or overnight.  In talking with many Christian leaders struggling through the past year, I hear about a lot of people being exhausted, tired, thinking about retiring early, even quitting. Some have described it as ‘the dark night of the soul’ where there has been an absence of the presence of God in our lives.

In the next few minutes, I want to give you a new kind of pathway so you can live more like Jesus—and perhaps renew the sense of His presence, especially in your work. And I’ve just the person to take us on this adventure.

Dr. Steve Brown, President of Arrow Leadership and author of a very timely, engaging book titledJesus Centered: Focusing on Jesus in a Distracted WorldSteve, welcome to the Flourishing Culture Podcast.

What is the benefit of having a flourishing workplace culture? Yes, things run more smoothly, there is often lower turnover, people are treated more respectfully, employees are more engaged, and productivity is higher. But on today's show, one more benefit comes out. When organizations have flourishing workplace cultures leaders love coming to work. They come with more energy and enthusiasm. Listen in to learn how!

I know leaders who are willing to go on record and say, "Your workplace culture is as necessary as air. Workplace culture, they'd say, 'is the very air your organization needs to live and breathe, to survive and thrive.'" My guest believes this 150%. Wait until you hear the reason why!

Leadership blindspots are the specific areas where a leader, even a very successful leader, is missing something. A blind spot can be a lack of attention to a certain area or part of your skillset that really has never been developed. And of course, you don't know what your blind spots are. But, we know how to find them. Listen in, as we talk with a leader about tools that helped him and his team grow to be even more effective in their leadership.

Welcome to the Flourishing Culture Podcast. I’m Cary Humphries, Senior Consultant with the Best Christian Workplaces Institute, and for this episode, I’m sitting in for Al Lopus as your guest host.

Are you ready to lead your team into the exciting times just ahead? Well, today's show highlights a conversation with a leader that has had his ministry crushed by COVID. He highlights five culture strategies he and his leadership team have implemented to ensure the engagement and wellbeing of their staff. A staff that will serve twelve thousand campers this summer; all of which we hope will make personal decisions for Christ.

We invite you to join us on today's show, as we discuss some of the practices these organizations do to set the standard as the best, most-effective places to work in the world.

Welcome to the Flourishing Culture Podcast. Today, I want us to focus on just one question: During this past year, how did some Christian organizations, churches, and Christian-led companies actually create the best, most effective workplaces while facing a grave pandemic and economic uncertainty?

Well today, I have the great pleasure of introducing the list of the 2020 Certified Best Christian workplaces. We publish this list each year to highlight organizations that are living our vision. Happy New Year and thanks for joining us! Today, we highlight what we see as the seven trends of workplace culture in 2021! Listen in to see if you agree with this about what you see coming in the new year.

Most of us are really happy 2020 is over! As we look at 2021, what can we look forward to as we lead our organizations, or as the Bible suggests, shepherd the flock that God has entrusted to us?

Now for the past several years, we have outlined the trends we project for the next year. These have become some of the most-read blog posts and downloaded podcast episodes. In fact, last January, the first trend I predicted was "the virtual workplace is poised for even more growth as tech-savvy employees work remotely!" I never dreamed that COVID would be the thing that would cause this to be so true!

So, this year we plan to ask, what are the seven leading trends likely to shape the vitality and future of your culture, your organization's workplace, in 2021? So let's go.
